Mike grew up in Beloit, Kansas. He attended Kansas State University.
Mike was married to his wife Linda in Beloit, Kansas in 1965. They have 3 children, Scott, Kristi and Julie. Their family has expanded with the addition of 8 grandchildren. He's a very proud father and grandfather, very much a family man.

Mike moved his family to Cody in 1970. He at that time owned, managed and operated Kelly's Shoe stores, thus providing Mike with 16 years of retail experience. After selling his interest in the shoe stores he became licensed as a real estate agent and further became a broker/owner. It was in 1986 that Mike became a co-partner of Antlers Realty, Inc. Mike is now the sole owner of Coldwell Banker Antlers Realty, Inc.
